As my final project at Bezalel Academy, I had the opportunity to illustrate a picture book for children titled "The Stolen Sun," written by Korney Chukovsky. This enchanting story explores themes of adventure and curiosity, captivating young readers with its imaginative narrative. I aimed to bring the characters and the whimsical world to life through vibrant illustrations that complement the text, creating an engaging visual experience that resonates with children and sparks their imagination.

A Unique Printing Technique
For "The Stolen Sun," I utilized an Indigo printer, which enabled me to employ multiple layers of colors in my illustrations. This technique allowed me to create rich, saturated black tones with varying depths, adding a unique dimension to the artwork. By understanding the final product and how this printing process worked, I could create digital paintings that translated into tangible textures in the physical book, enhancing the overall visual experience for young readers.
